Welcome to Term 4!

Good afternoon parents,

Welcome back to our final term for the year, gosh it has gone by super quick!.

I hope you all and your families had an enjoyable break and got out and about in this weather.

I have had a great break....busy doing all the holiday things but feeling refreshed and ready for our final term as a 3DEL group.

As I think about how quickly this year has gone and how close we are to the end, I can't help but reflect on how much the students have grown and matured.

I am so very proud of them and have VERY MUCH enjoyed working with these beautiful children.

I am looking forward to a great last term together, working hard to round out a great year of growth both in height and in learning!

Welcome - We welcome Mrs Hegney to the school this term, we will be gathering as a whole school tomorrow morning at 11am to hear from her as a whole school for the first time!

Rosary October is the Month traditionally dedicated to the Holy Rosary of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

We are very pleased to welcome Ms Rooney and Mrs DeGaris from the OLOTSC Parish into class on Tuesday morning as they come in and help the students learn more about praying the Rosary.

This will happen over the next 4 weeks which will be a great learning opportunity.

In Weeks 2, 3 & 4 they will be coming in on Thursday at 10.10am so we will move our Library time to Wednesday afternoon for those 3 weeks.

If you can please make sure that you are supporting your child to bring their bag in each week that would be most appreciated!

Parish Mass - On Wednesday morning, we will be walking down to the Church with the other TEAL classrooms to enjoy a whole school mass together.

We will be leaving school at 9am and will be back at school by 10.30am.

Character Strength of the Week...Creativity!

St Cecilia is known for her musical abilities. She also loved to paint, as well as sing and play music. St Cecilia is why music is such a central part of the liturgy today.

I love this one in relation to processing those big feels and solving simple problems like lost pencils or glue stick lids!!

  • Do you come up with lots of different and individual ideas?
  • Are you a problem solver?
  • Do you have a magnificent imagination?

A Few Reminders for the Coming Week...

Summer UniformWe will be back in summer uniform as of Monday. There is a two week swap over period, so long pants, etc are still welcome if the weather is cool!

Hats Please make sure that your child has their hat ready to go as they will not be permitted to play outdoors without it.

Stationery RestockPlease take a moment to check in with your child to make sure they have red pens, lead pencils, eraser, a ruler, scissors and a glue stick at school.

If you aren't sure maybe pop an extra couple in!

I look forward to seeing your beautiful children in class tomorrow morning, enjoy the rest of your day!

Kind regards,

Mrs Delane
