Week 6 - A Long Weekend Coming In!

Image
Good evening parents, I hope that you all enjoyed the weekend...both freezing cold and super warm this weekend...I hope sport was played in good spirits, the coffee was warm and enjoyable and the washing got dry! A tough one today for all 4 Sharks teams at Harvey...gosh, it is a lot further than I thought...a clean sweep for Harvey but once again, all Sharks teams played with heart and gave it their all!  The Colts led right up until the 4th quarter when Harvey just peeled them in, the Ressies fought and chased hard but didn't get the win.  Our women were outplayed by a really great team...their midfield...sublime! The League boys made them earn the win losing by just 2 goals in a hard fight...the drive home was a bit quicker thankfully! Super pleasing to share that the 10-12 Youth Girls had their first win for the 2022 and 2023 season beating Busselton on Friday night by just 2 points...the girls were beyond stoked and the future of the Dunsborough Sharks looks strong! Our C...

Week 5...What?!

Good morning parents, Apologies for the late post...it was a big weekend with sport and all the things!!! Another fantastic day down at Shark Park with wins to the Colts and Women's teams against HBL. A tough one for the Reserves with the squad missing a large number and the League needing a top up...the League worked hard to come back against a tough opposition, I was sure they were going to take the points but not to be! Character Strength of the Week... Leadership ...a difficult skill to master but one that many are capable of showing in a variety of ways.  It involves encouraging and inspiring the group to achieve the objectives of the group whilst maintaining positive and happy relationships. This is a great chance to discuss what leadership looks like for your child.    What traits do good leaders have?     Do they know good leaders?     How can they build these skills within         themselves? A few ...

Week 4 Is Here

Good afternoon parents, An early post out this week...apologies that it won't have an in depth analysis of our football performance for tomorrow but I am determined to not work on Mother's Day! I would like to take this opportunity to wish all you amazing mum's a very very Happy Mother's Day...this job is wonderful and rewarding but it is also difficult and draining and all of the things in between.  The load you carry for your children and your families is an important one so I hope this day is spent with some moments that fill your cup and remind you of how important you are...if you spend it breaking up fights or ferrying children from one sport to the next...you are amazing! Character Strength of the week...KINDNESS... One of the many joys of my job in working with students is seeing the ways in which they exhibit their individual strengths...this one in particular, I see A LOT!! I am always blown away by the kindness and consideration our young people show to other...

Good evening parents, Welcome to the week ahead...it is shaping up to be another busy week in 3DEL.  I hope that you enjoyed the weekend, managed to avoid the bugs going around and enjoyed some time recharging and reconnecting. I hope those teams that had byes last week had the chance to give the legs a good run this weekend and fun was had...I can hear the oval from my place and although I don't technically live there I can hear a lot of the action and it is really heartwarming to hear the siren and the cheers as the wind blows! SWFL Update - It was a massive day at Shark Park today...we were up against Bunbury, one of the contenders and strongest sides across the board and it was always going to be a challenge to get the points.  The Colts were slight undermanned thanks to a couple of serious injuries on Friday night and then a top line up at GTM...the Ressies were strong and tried hard managing to get a couple on the board in the final quarter to walk off with their h...
